'70s, '80s, '90s blends

Plant Therapy lets you travel back in time with this set of pure essential oil blends! Each bottle perfectly embodies the decade it represents and is sure to hit you with a wave of nostalgia. Diffuse, sit back, close your eyes, and let your nose take you back to the groovy '70s, the party-fueled '80s, and the "grungy" '90s!

'70s Essential Oil Blend Nope, for those who lived in the '70s, it wasn't all about bad fashion, Charlie's Angels, and hitting the local discotheque every single night. Those were happy times of glorious Farrah Fawcett coifs, piling in the back of your parents' station wagon as the Bee Gees sang about staying alive, and surreal moments of watching George Lucas' Star Wars for the very first time. Plant Therapy lets you boogie down memory lane (Bell-Bottoms not required!) with this blend of Patchouli, Virginian Cedarwood, Lemon, Lavender, Clove, and Rose essential oils!

'80's Essential Oil Blend Forget about the cringe-worthy makeup and hairstyles ( teased hair and mullets, anyone?), the '80s was absolute fun! Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and Prince rocked the radio! Plant Therapy expressed this over-the-top era with a blend of Pink Grapefruit, Tangerine, Lemon Myrtle, and more. The refreshing aroma is reminiscent of Juicy Fruits but one thing's for sure, it'll have you singing along to Wham!s Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go!

'90's Essential Oil Blend The '90s were all about the Y2K scare, plucked eyebrows, Tamagotchis, acid-wash denim, overalls, girl-power anthems, and boy bands. If you don't know Spice Girls, Britney Spears, 'N Sync, and Backstreet Boys, did you even live in the '90s? Relive these adorable bromances and girl power in this blend of Orange, Green Mandarin, Lime SD, Anise, and Lemongrass. Bright and sunny, you can say this blend Smells Like Teen Spirit!

Description

Based in Twin Falls, Idaho, Plant Therapy was established in 2011 and is a leading supplier of organic essential oils, carrier oils, pre-diluted roll-ons, and more. All of their oils are 100% pure and free from any additives, adulterants or dilutions.

How to use Essential Oils

Diffuse

Add 2-4 drops of essential oil to your diffuser after having added water to the fill line. Some oils may require 4-8 drops to be added.

Massage

Essential oils should always be diluted before applying to the skin. Blend essential oil with coconut oil, almond oil or any other suitable carrier oil for massage.

Inhalation

Essential oils suitable for inhalation should be diluted by adding 1-2 drops of essential oil to a bowl of steaming water. Place a towel over your head and the bowl of water. With your eyes closed, inhale the scent for up to 5 minutes at a time.

Other uses

You can add 3-5 drops of essential oil to a full bath of water, or onto a face washer placed in the bottom of your shower.

Rollerbottles are handy for ‘on the go’ applications – simply fill a rollerbottle with your preferred carrier oil and add some drops of your essential oil. You can also fit a rollerball top to an essential oil bottle rather than using a separate bottle – make sure to dilute your oil however. If that sounds like too much work, you can simply purchase ready made rollerbottles.

Essential oils are great additions to bases to make your own personal care items such as soaps, face creams or shampoos. You can also use essential oils to help cut down on chemicals in your cleaning supplies. Make sure to check out our blog articles for more ideas!

Safety Cautions

Essential oils are natural, but they are also concentrated. We recommend following basic safety precautions when using your oils:

  • Essential oils should not be ingested, unless it is under the guidance of a suitably qualified practitioner.

  • Do not use oils undiluted on the skin, unless the instructions permit otherwise. Many oils can cause irritation when placed directly on skin, particularly on sensitive areas such as the eyes or mouth. Some oils (particularly those in the citrus family) can cause photosensitivity if used prior to going out in the sun - please check instructions carefully.

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should consult your healthcare practitioner prior to using essential oils. As a general guideline, oils should be avoided for the first four months of pregnancy and never used undiluted. Some oils should be avoided during pregnancy: Bay, Basil, Cedar wood, Clary Sage, Comfrey, Cypress, Fennel, Ginger, Hyssop, Jasmine, Juniper, Lemongrass, Marjoram, Melissa, Myrrh, Peppermint, Rose, Rosemary, Sage & Thyme.

  • Children can be particularly affected by essential oils. Some oils should not be used in children under the age of 7, and specific dilution ratios are recommended depending on the essential oil and the age of the child. We recommend consulting an appropriate practitioner prior to using oils on children.
